Best Syslog Level for Syslog Server

Hi there,

          I'm setting up to send syslog of important cisco devices (nexus, wan routers) to our syslog server. What is the optimal syslog level to send? Is debugging too much? Thank you!

Hi,

This will depend on what you would like to see and your security policy, but generally debugging is too much. Information (6) is a good start. Evaluate the amount of logs level 6 gives you and decide if it is suitable for your environment..
