how to calculate the percentage (or threshold) of the broadcast storm need to be block for c2950 switch? e.g I have a 100M FE port has an average of utilisztion of 50Mps,should set it to 50%?

Hi

It depends upon the amount of broadcast traffic which u need or can tolerate in each port of the switch.

We had the same configured for a limit of 20% that basically defines the amount of broadcast traffic nothing other than that.

you can also include multicast traffic in conjuntion to that and if required out there in your network..
