Can I use a loopback interface as a source for ERSPAN? What am I missi

Trying to setup ERSPAN from 2 nexus 9k switches to vms that are attached to hosts to the same switch. I only have a management IP address and vrf on these switches which will not work for the ERSPAN setup. What I am thinking I want to do is to configure loopback interfaces on the switches that have an IP address in the correct VLAN for the VMs that will end up being destinations for the ERSPAN monitor. I have never done this before, but is it possible to create a loopback interface and assign it an IP address and VLAN so that I can send data out from it via ERSPAN?

Hi

There´s no correlation between loopback interface and vlan. If you have interface vlan on the nexus, Why dont you create an interface vlan on the nexus ? Or Layer 3 interfaces?

But let me undestand you environment. Does you diagram looks like this below?
