By the offical document, port 8080 is pre-defintied for the Browser access but it is disabled by default.
I am finding a way to enable the port, but I cannot find any guide on cisco site.
Did anyone know how to enable the 8080 port?
Thanks in advance.
Louis

HIi Hoi;
As per cisco document : http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/2.0/administrator/guide/config_server_settings.html#wp1082023
The Server Settings page allows you to enable or disable the TFTP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, or Compliance Service. To turn the server settings on or off:
Step 1 Choose Administration > System Settings.
Step 2 From the left sidebar menu, choose Server Setting.
Step 3 If you want to modify the FTP and TFTP directories or the HTTP and HTTPS ports that were established during installation, enter the port number (or port number and root where required) that you want to modify and click Enable or Disable.
The changes are reflected after a restart.
I am not sure but try to change the port number 8080 in HTTP Forward option and save it, then restart it.
I think it will work.

Hi,
Port 443 is enabled by default for https access on PI.
Port 8080 is disabled by default for http acces.
If you want to enable port 8080 for https access then follow this:
Login TO Prime INfrastructure:
go to Administration > System Settings > Server Settings
there you can enable http(8080) and save it.

Yes, I can access the PI by 443 port, which is by ssl-connection. But i have a need to access the PI by non-SSL connection.
In PI 1.4, I can enable it in "Administration > Server Setting", but it is gone in PI2.0.
So, is there any method, such as CLI, to enable the 8080 port?

Hi ,
It still there in PI 2.0
Go to Administration>System Settings then from left side choose server setting , there you will see this http access is by default disabled .
Enable it and save it .
The changes will be reflected after a restart.

PI 2.0 has remove http service. I also believe it would be better to HTTPS.
Due to the limition, API programming developer should notice that HTTP no longer supported.
And sandeepchoudhary21 has provided the procedure for PI1.4. Thanks for the help!
