Cat 6500 on 15.1(2)SY4a, has Embedded Event Manager Version 4.00 but no event detector mat.
Any way to do the same thing as below on a 6500 without using the "event mat mac-address" command?
Script:
event manager applet Ingenico_54e140
event mat mac-address "54e1.40"
action 0100 puts "Ingenico_54e140 @ $_mat_intf_name."
action 0210 cli command "enable"
action 0220 cli command "config t"
action 0230 cli command "interface $_mat_intf_name"
action 0240 if $_mat_notification eq "add"
action 0250 cli command "description Ingenico Card Swipe"
action 0260 cli command "ip access-group PCI_Card_Swipe_IN in"
action 0270 else
action 0280 cli command "no description Ingenico Card Swipe"
action 0290 cli command "no ip access-group PCI_Card_Swipe_IN in"
action 0300 end
action 0310 cli command "end"

Seems the mat, neighbor-discovery, and identity EDs were left out of this image. I advised another customer to open a TAC case about neighbor-discovery. I suggest you do the same to raise visibility to this. The workaround is not pleasant. You'd need to use a timer to periodically scan the MAC address table and look for diffs. It's nearly as neat as the mat ED.

I have the same error on Cisco 6880 (Instant Access).
EEM v4.0 no longer have the ability to trigger based on CDP neighbor-discovery (however MAT has been re-introduced).
I have tested on the following versions:
c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.151-2.SY5.bin (Cisco suggested release)
c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.151-2.SY6.bin (newest in 15.1-train)
c6880x-ipservicesk9-mz.SPA.152-1.SY1a.bin (latest and greatest)
I'll try to raise this issue with TAC

Tried s72033-advipservicesk9-mz.151-2.SY6.bin (latest version).
Still missing CDP & MAT.

Is still also missing into Version 15.2(1)SY1. Neighbor Disco CDP, LLPD, Link up/down events should be supported by EEM V4.0 (BRKNMS-2030, Joe Clarke, Distinguished Services Engineer).
@Why is this no longer supported?

Has anyone raised a TAC case on this? EEM 4.0 supports these EDs, but likely they were not compiled into the Cat6K images for some reason. I haven't seen a bug come by on this, so I'm not sure if any customer raised this.

Hi Joe
Thanks for the quick answer. Below the answer from TAC.
Per bug CSCuw89543, neighbor discovery event detector is fixed in 15.2(2)SY1 and SY2 releases.

Yes, I opened a TAC case last year. After several weeks, the answer was no new features would be done on 6500's. They did give me a bug id but later said no fix.
