Hello.
I have some c3560-x switches working ok.
I wanted to upgrade IOS on them.
Don't remember now what ios they were using, but i've tried to update to c3560e-universalk9-mz.152-3.E1.bin
All of them updated succesfully, except one.
On this switch "Boot failed" happened.
After some research i found that switch is not able to boot to any ios newer than c3560e-universalk9-mz.152-1.E3.bin
I've tried c3560e-universalk9-mz.152-2.E.bin c3560e-universalk9-mz.152-3.E.bin and c3560e-universalk9-mz.152-2.E1.bin without success.
Switch tries to boot from image and after load process "boot failed" happens.
i've tried to boot from flash, usbflash0, redownloaded images to flash to exclude corruption, same behaviour.
Is it something internal?
Solved! Go to Solution.

I've got a strange feeling this is a bug with the code itself.
Check the Release Notes for 15.2(3)E1 and see if there are bug(s) that sounds similar to what you're seeing.

Console into the switch and reboot. Post the entire boot-up process.
