Cisco 3850 mgmt port no up

Hi all

 

The management port on the 3850 switch does not rise


When I prescribe the port MGMT(gi0/0)  - no shutdown,

cisco display the message:
% HMANRP-6-EMP_NO_ELECTION_INFO: Could not elect active EMP switch, setting emp active switch to 0: EMP_RELAY: Could not elect switch with mgmt port UP

tell me what is the problem? configuration out of the box

Is this device part of Stack or standalone? ( to find some bugs around please post the below output :

 

show switch

show version

show run

standalone, configuration in attachment

There are some bugs reported kind of symptoms but not particular to the model you mentioned, the version you running is cisco stable - but i see some bugs related to that version in our environment also.

 

moving to the next level may fix issues .-cat3k_caa-universalk9.16.12.04.SPA.bin. ( read the release notes before upgrading).

To verify port management first verify that the device is not on the stack.

Validate that the device connected to the port is turned on or discard the middle Cable
