Guys, we have a use case where we have to automated the ACL rules on an ASA 9.2. I see there is a REST API available for the ASA but i have no experience of it. I have some high level questions:
- It looks like this involves installing a Java application on the ASA.
- Is this stable?
- Is it translating REST Calls into CLI Calls
- Is the security model around this granular i.e can we provide access to an automation element (script etc.) that only allows that script to do the minimum operation required e.g. update an ACL but no other configuration possible?
