i did a basic configuration of my cisco Catalyst
when i save the configuration or don't save the configuration, my enable password doesn't work.
i have not set anything but the hostname and a vlan up, i can't get passed this part?
any help why my enable password wouldn't work?
both are configured
not on a network yet
i also took a screen shot of the password's after i saved them.

i have only configured
1. vlan
2. enable password
3. vty password
4. secret cisco password
that is all that i have configured.
i'm just wondering why when i configure the cisco secret password and the enable password- the enable password no longer works.

Add the command
aaa new-model
aaa authentication enable default enable
But prefer to use enable secret, it is safer

per this information, i don't think both can be enabled at the same time, it just took forever to find something that states this. can't say how true it is, but i can't get passed anything when both are set.
