Cisco EnergyWise

I am trying to set up Cisco EnergyWise in our environment. I get everything installed and I try to access the site http://server/Admin/default.aspx. The Flash loads, but then I get an "server request failed: HTTP request error". I have no idea how to troubleshoot this.

Thanks

Brad

Hi Brad

I am doing the same and am hosting on VMware hosted Server 2008 64 R2 with IIS 7 and have exactly the same error. Had a trawl through the web conf file in the c:\inetpub\wwroot\cisco systems\administrator folder and there is mention of not supporting pipleline of iis7 so needs to be run in compatibility mode for the application pool. This may be fixed with xxxx.zip.

I had a look in IIS for the app pool for Orchestrator server and its set same as default app pool (manged pipeline = integrated). a quick change to classic and an iisreset later and bingo.

Note in case this doesnt resolve the issue i have the latest versions available of flash, java, and .net 2,3,3.5 installed.

Hope this helps you out

A couple of things

you listed the web link as http://server/Admin/default.aspx.  Are you using server as a replacement for a real ip address to your system?

If not put in the address for the server you have Orchestrator running or localhost.

If you are just using server as a placeholder you will need to verify each prerequisite that was installed on your server.  I have attached the install guide for Orchestrator, refer to pg. 19.  This will be the tough part so best of luck, I hope this helps

Hi,

i am getting the same issue, did anyone solved this error?

thanks

Marco

I believe Cisco no longer support EnergyWise.

Support should now be going back to the original "EnergyWise" developers, Verdiem.
