cisco ios to bootflash

Hi everybody. I have some ploblem in my cisco AS5400 router.

Both ios in flash and boot flash has corrupted.

Cisco don't see bootflash in slot0. After change bootflash I tried to download ios into flash in rommon mode but ahter download ios when system format flash I see that message in my console :

Erasing flash at 0xb8f80000

amd_flash_cmd: timeout on AMD flash command

Erasing flash at 0xb8fc0000

amd_flash_cmd: timeout on AMD flash command

program flash location 0xb8000000

amd_flash_cmd: timeout on AMD flash command

I don't know what that it and how resolve this.

And how can i download ios to flash at first because when I try to do this from rommon trouth xmodem command he download it to bootflash not to flash.

If anybody knows this ploblem please help me to resolve it.

Hi Elnurh,

I am not sure why are you differtiating flash and bootflash.

Flash is divided into either slot0 (pcmcia) or bootflash. When you are in rommon you can download to bootflash which is one of the options of flash.

The prolem is that I can't download ios to flash at first because router don't see flash and I have to download ios to the bootflash at fisrt and then booting with helper image mode then download image to flash. but I can't download image to flash after downloading image to flash when router do format flash I can see the that message which I wrote up.

and i can't boot from net I connecting Ethernet port FE0 to my pc and on router goes to rommon mode but my pc network cart don't see connection
