Hi
Just wondering, Am I able to perform a backup on Cisco ISE 1.0 and restore it on 1.4
We are running 1.0 at the moment and now I have setup another VM with 1.4. I am not too sure about the configs so just wondering if this would work. Otherwise Il have some learning to do.
Thanks

No you can only restore ISE to the same version that you backed up from.
The database tables and schema are significantly different between versions, much less from 1.0 to 1.1 to 1.2 to 1.3 to 1.4. Plus 1.3 changed to a 64-bit underlying Linux OS.
If you don't have a whole lot of policies and customization in your 1.0, you'd be better off starting fresh and rebuilding from scratch. Otherwise the upgrading step by step will take many hours, especially if you have a distributed deployment with multiple nodes.
Also be aware that 2.0 will very likely be released this fall.
