Hello.
I am working on a pfsense router there are based on Linux.
I have been told that if I could I should try to get my hands on the Cisco Linux kernel and use it in my pfsense install.
But is that legal and possible?
And if so how do I do that?

There is no such thing that you can download. If you want that you should probably buy a Cisco firewall appliance instead of using pfSense.
I would stick to using a standard distribution like Ubuntu.

Cisco is too expensive for a private user and pfsense is free to use on a computer so I think I will stick to the pfsense and save the moneys..
Thanks anyways.
