Cisco Live Question!

HI All! Aspiring Network Engineer/Architect here. I am new to Cisco Live and I'm hoping to get approval to go this year. I am not quite ready to take any of Cisco's Certifications yet, but I am wondering how far in advance can I schedule the 'complimentary exam'? I know it can not be during the conference times, but can I schedule it for next year? Or does it have to be within a few months?

I might stick with Next Gen Explorer and not waste the money on the exam and more breakout sessions unless the breakout sessions are well worth the time? Any idea how long they generally last? Will 5 fulfil my week, or will I be sitting around twidling my thumbs a lot?

Thanks!

Hello,

The complimentary exam needs to be taken at CISCO live (from my understanding when I did it). I would schedule a couple sessions a day depending how long they are. That gives you time to go to the “World of Solutions” floor where all the vendors and demonstrations are. You can go in between and after the sessions. Also a great place to meet people and connect!

Hope you get to go and have a blast.
