Cisco Nexus 5548 connectivity with storage

I am having Cisco Nexus 5548 switch with FC feature enabled on it and extra module "N55-M16UP" is attached. I want to connect the same with storage (Host), hence want to know whether can i connect it using hardcoded 32 ports OR using "N55-M16UP" module.Does it require any license to work with "N55-M16UP"module.

The module does not specifically require a license. The 5k is able to connect FC ports according to the installed license(s). The available license levels for storage features are N55-8P-SSK9, N55-48P-SSK9, and N55-96P-SSK9 for 8, 48 and 96 ports respectively. FC ports need to be contiguous and are defined globally. They require a switch reload if changed later.
