Cisco Prime SMS integration

Running 3.8 and looking for a way how to send SMS if a particular event/alarm occurs.

I have only two options how to do it:

1) if a alarm occurs then execute a script on Cisco Prime

2) if a alarm occurs then send it to (my) syslog

SMS gateway is standalone appliance accessible via IP.
I can contact it directly via SOAP (that would cover 1) option) or indirectly via my syslog server (that would cover 2) option).

I cannot find a way how to configure 1) or 2).

prime can send e-mail on alarms?

-> if your server or another selected provider can process the formatted e-mails you are good to go
