Cisco Prime - Wrong Email Alerts

Hello everybody,

we have configured in Cisco Prime to send a notification when a switch is down (Event type: "Switch down"). Now we get several mails about switches every day. Sometimes 4, sometimes 2, that a switch is unreachable. After exactly 5 minutes the next mail: it is reachable again. It´s also not the same switch everytime. The SNMP settings have been adjusted to 3 tries and 120 seconds, but it is not getting better.
I have also looked at the switch during this time and everything is fine here. An another monitoring tool also detecting nothing in this time.
Does anyone know how to fix these mistakes?

is it a physical Cisco Prime or virtual ?
if virtual, then your VM may not have enough resources on the VM host to function properly
other cause may be a routing problem
