We've noticed a discrepancy between the data retrieved from the API and the data displayed in the UI regarding devices and inventory information in Cisco Prime Infrastructure. Can someone please help us understand the key differences between these two data sources and explain why such inconsistencies might occur? Also, we are currently observing that the device counts obtained from both the 'devices' API and the 'inventory' API match. However, I'm curious about the possibility of this changing in the future. Are there any scenarios or circumstances under which these counts might diverge?

 - I can only provide a general answer ; consider using Prime 3.10.x a must because all older versions are EOL : check if you then keep having the same problems :

-- Each morning when I wake up and look into the mirror I always say ' Why am I so brilliant ? '
When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

- I have checked that the API document which is provided (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/cloud-systems-management/prime-infrastructure/products-programming-reference-guides-list.html) for the 3.9 version. In this document, the Devices and Inventory Details APIs have different responses which I am receiving into the API but the UI has the same tables with the same columns.

Questions :
 - Why does UI have the same value and API have different values?
 - What are the differences between the devices and inventory details?

@marce1000 Is there any update regarding this?

what kind of information not correct give us some example here for us to understand the issue ?

Prime going to fade soon, so its hard to get support if this was bug, since latest last version i see 3.10 (cisco only fixing security fix as per i know).

In this

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/cloud-systems-management/prime-infrastructure/products-programming-reference-guides-list.html Cisco Prime Infrastructure 3.9, For the Devices and Inventory API:
- Devices API (/webacs/api/v4/data/Devices): getting Information regarding deviceID, adminStatus, deviceName, ipAddress, location, etc.
- Inventory Details API (/webacs/api/v4/data/InventoryDetails  getting Information regarding deviceSummary, chassis, ethernetInterface, cdpNeighbor, module, etc.

For UI of Cisco Prime Infrastructure 3.9:
Monitor > Managed Elements > Network Devices and Inventory / Device Management / Network Devices have the same columns and the same data.

So what are the differences?
