I have 2 new FTD 3120 devices. When I connect them to DHCP internet, they work well, but when I change to static IP, they lose internet. Kindly assist.

hello @wanumet just so u know, If it works on DHCP but not with a static IP, it’s usually missing the default route or the correct DNS settings. So, on the FTD, make sure ur static IP setup also includes the proper subnet mask, default gateway from ur ISP, and at least one working DNS server. Which means that without the gateway, the FTD won’t know how to reach the internet....

hope it helps and PEACE!

It issue of ISP'

The ISP provides IP to your FW' if you use static IP and ISP assign this IP to other devices or to it interface the traffic will drop

So ask ISP which IP can I use as static IP

Thank you @Enes Simnica

Kindly guide on how to do this because whenever I added a static route, it still never got Internet and it made it slower.
