Hi Joseph,
I am facing problem with the Ciscoworks server backup, when i checked the backup status it says " Backup not found or unable to detect " .Also checked the dbbackup.log file and found there is no update in the file.
Please need your info on this.

You should see output when you run the backup. How long did it take for the command to complete? What output do you get if you run:
C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\perl -V

Did the dbbackup.log file change after running the backup command? What is the byte size of your backup.pl script?

Hi Joseph,
There is no change in the dbbackup.log file after running the backup command.No information has been updated to this file.The size of the backup.pl script is " 0kb "
Please let me know is there any issue with backup.pl script file.

I was starting to suspect this might be the case. Your backup.pl file has become corrupted. If you do not have a file system backup of your server, you can open a TAC service request and get a good version of this file.

Restoring backup.pl from a system backup will resolve the issue.

It looks like your EPM database is corrupt. Reinitialize this database using the procedure document at https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-8796 .

Reinitialization of EPM database will loose any information about of devices like configuration.Whether any device details will go....

No, you will not lose device configuration details. You will, however, lose any of your DFM event configuration customizations (including notification subscriptions).
