You should see output when you run the backup.  How long did it take for the command to complete?  What output do you get if you run:

C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\perl -V

Hi Joseph,

I have run the command from CLI and i didnt get any output. It took only 3 seconds and came to prompt. You can see the attached file of both the command.

Thanks & Regds,

Lalit

Did the dbbackup.log file change after running the backup command?  What is the byte size of your backup.pl script?

Hi Joseph,

There is no change in the dbbackup.log file after running the backup command. No information has been updated to this file. The size of the backup.pl script is " 0kb "

Please let me know is there any issue with backup.pl script file.

Thanks & Regds,

Lalit

I was starting to suspect this might be the case.  Your backup.pl file has become corrupted.  If you do not have a file system backup of your server, you can open a TAC service request and get a good version of this file.

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the reply.

Restoring backup.pl from a system backup will resolve the issue.

Please let me know.

Thanks & Regds,

Lalit

Yes, this will work.

Hi Joseph,

I have restored the backup.pl file from the system backup.I will schedule the backup and update you on the status.

Thanks for your info.

Thanks & Regds,

Lalit

Hi Joseph,

After restoring the backup.pl file the backup has started but it failed at one point while taking the backup of database dfmEpmDb.Please find the attached dbbackup.log file.

Please let me know.

Thanks & Regds,

Lalit

It looks like your EPM database is corrupt.  Reinitialize this database using the procedure document at https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-8796 .

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the reply.

Reinitialization of EPM database will loose any information about of devices like configuration.Whether any device details will go....

No, you will not lose device configuration details.  You will, however, lose any of your DFM event configuration customizations (including notification subscriptions).
