CiscoWorks CM and QOS Policy Manager

Hi

Downloaded the Ciscoworks QOS Policy Manager, installed on 2003 SP2

Had an error free installation however everytime I try to run the Qos policy management from the Ciscoworks homepage I get the following error...

"The QPM application is not fully started. Please close the window and try launching after few minutes"

Any ideas... anyone come across this before, I cant find any resources in the troubleshooting section.

Cheers

Matt

There does appear to be a conflict. Try shutting down Daemon Manager. Then, shutdown FrameworkService (I think this is anti-virus related), zabbix, and whatever dbsrv8.exe is associated with. Essentially, try shutting down all third-party services. Then restart Daemon Manager.

What version of QPM did you install? What version of LMS are you running? Post the output of the pdshow command.

Downloaded the demo packacke form cisco site.

Following these instructions:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_qos_policy_manager/4.1/installation/guide/windows/KIinWIN.html#wp1147270

Have installed Common Services which is all I need as per instructions.

Dont have LMS installed.

Have installed this demo on separate server as per instructions above.

Cheers

Matt

Okay, you said CiscoWorks CM in the subject, so I assumed you had LMS. Post a screenshot of the Common Services > Software Center > Software Update screen from the CiscoWorks homepage. Also, please post the pdshow command output from the server's CLI.

I don't see any errors here. All processes are up. Post the NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/logs/stdout.log and stderr.log. What is your current local time?

Files attached... lots and lots of errors here relating to java... not sure how to procede really, updated java client etc...

Local time is correct.

Cheers

Matt

any ideas... only get a 60 day trial ;-(

Sorry, I missed the previous post. There are errors here, but it's not clear what is causing them. This could be a port conflict. on the server. Post the output of netstat -a -n -o -b.

no worries...

ouput attached

Thanks

There does appear to be a conflict. Try shutting down Daemon Manager. Then, shutdown FrameworkService (I think this is anti-virus related), zabbix, and whatever dbsrv8.exe is associated with. Essentially, try shutting down all third-party services. Then restart Daemon Manager.

Closed zabbix and dbsrv8.exe

working now, thanks so much for you help.

Matt
