Hi Guys,

Greetings,

I'm trying to configure the Monitoring Thresholds in CiscoWorks LMS 4.0. (Monitor> Fault Settings> Setup> Settings Threshold). to monitor an optical interface of an ME 3400 switch idea is to give the test to the values of (Optical Transmit Power and Receive Optical Power) which provides the following command output.

Switch # show interfaces transceiver gigabitethernet1/0/3 detail (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/metro/me3400/software/release/12.2_44_se/command/reference/cli2.html#wp6374859)

Switch# show interfaces gigabitethernet1/0/3 transceiver detail

ITU Channel not available (Wavelength not available),

Transceiver is externally calibrated.

mA:milliamperes, dBm:decibels (milliwatts), N/A:not applicable.

++:high alarm, +:high warning, -:low warning, -- :low alarm.

A2D readouts (if they differ), are reported in parentheses.

The threshold values are uncalibrated.

I am interested in capturing the threshold values (Optical Transmit Power and Receive Optical Power) of the optical interface and if they surpass the percentages or values set in the configuration of CiscoWorks this send a notification or alert.

Can you tell me if you have done this type of configuration that allows thresholds to monitor the optical interface to CiscoWorks.

Thnaks so Much.

Hi all

Some of you could tell me if this type of configuration is possible to do with CiscoWorks LMS 4.0, which is to monitor the threshold power dBm optical fiber connecting the interfaces of the switch or router?

Thanks for your help me,
