Hello,
I wanted to understand what do the purge jobs do in CiscoWorks.
Does it purge the manually generated reports, the logs generated by the jobs, the automatic report, general system logs or something else.
I need to fine tune the purge policy to save the local hard disk space.
Thanks.

Hello,
I think you mean the purge settings under RME -> admin -> System preferences
This will delete for example old net config jobs in RME. Same for SWIM or report jobs and something like that.
Together with that all logfiles and the whole folder for every job should be deleted on the server.
The system logs you can archive/delete with the log rotation in Common Services -> Servers -> Admin

Thanks.
What is the ideal minimum number of days (and against which purge policy type) to ensure all sorts of issues can be resolved when a problem occurs.
Regards.

I don't know the best number of days for you...
I use something between 90 and 180 days for the jobs because I think if there is no problem after 90 days for a config job it will never give a problem.
