Configuring FTP, TFTP, and SFTP Servers

Hi,

I'm deploying CPI 2.2 and was looking for an answer what is the Administration > Servers > TFTP/FTP/SFTP Servers configuration is used for. As I couldn't find it in any available documentation I opened a TAC case where I've got back the following informtion:

"The page in question serves as the input for IPTables.  So once you have an IP entered it updates the firewall rules.  This page may be utilized more as new versions of Prime are released. Also you can assign the server entries on that page to the Controller Configuration Backup background task."

Note: this configuration has nothing to do with the repository configuration as it's done via CLI not GUI.

Hope this answered not just my question but anyone else's who was looking for the same answer.

Hi Gabor ,

Administration > Servers > TFTP/FTP/SFTP Servers

these server configurations will be used as the destination of  your configuration backup  for e.g "Controller Configuration Backup "

so these are the remote TFTP ,FTP servers where you can keep the config's
