Is there a way to create subinterface on PIX 515E 7.0 version single context edition.
I did
pixfirewall> conf t
pixfirewall(config)> interface ether 0
pixfirewall(config-if)> nameif outside
pixfirewall(config-if)> duplex full
pixfirewall(config-if)> speed auto
pixfirewall(config-if)> no shutdown
pixfirewall(config-if)> exit
pixfirewall(config-if)>
pixfirewall(config)> interface ether 0.1
pixfirewall(config-sub)> nameif dmz
pixfirewall(config-sub)> no shutdown
pixfirewall(config-sub)> ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0
The problem is I have physically connected the outside ethernet cable to 2924 Switch with a DMZ specific VLAN consisting of three machines with the gateway being the pixfirewall. I am able to communicate with the other two machines, but no connection whatsoever (not even ping) beteen any of the machines and pix.
sh arp on pix lists the other machines hw address on the outside.
Any info or pointers?!
