I have a high degree of confidence that I will get flamed for asking this, but I feel the risk is worth it.
It can not hurt that bad for asking.
I am seeking a demo or 30 day trial version of LMS for an educational project.
I have an assignment to write a procedure that goes out and collects the configs for all Cisco devices on a network.
I've downloaded Chapter 8 of
Archiving Configurations and Managing them using Archive Management.
The depth of this manual is painful and it is difficult to understand what LMS can do or not do without seeing the screens.
I am visual, hands on kind of fellow and would appreciate any help.

Evaluation versions of LMS are available, but you will need to contact your account team to get a copy. The trial period is always 90 days.

CiscoWorks is a good tool and I use it to manage 1000's of devices. CiscoWorks has a huge learning curve. You might try some of the open source tools at
http://cosi-nms.sourceforge.net/alpha-progs.html
Take a look at
Ciscocmd
or
CiscoConf
These are free and don't require the resources of a full version of CiscoWorks
