I have this msg for 7 days now. Device discovery is still running. Anybody a hint on this?
Operation Last Completion Time Result Status Action

Probable cause:
You have not performed Device Discovery. 0 Devices Running Start Device Discovery

Try the following :
Please rename the DeviceDiscovery.properties
that you have there with DeviceDiscovery.properties.orig
Stop CiscoWorks before doing this,
net stop crmdmgtd
Go to CSCOpx\campus\etc\cwsi\
The DeviceDiscovery.properties is corrupted and we need to
recover it.
Please rename DeviceDiscovery.properties to
DeviceDiscovery.properties.backup
Then rename DeviceDiscovery.properties.orig to
DeviceDiscovery.properties
Please keep a copy of DeviceDiscovery.properties.orig in case
you have to ever do it again.
Start CiscoWorks,
net start crmdmgtd
<
This will of course reset all configurations you may have in
Campus Manager for the device discovery in the Admin page.
Please configure everything again.
This will populate the config file once more. Then save all new
configs you make and run a new discovery. Wait for it to change
from Idle to Running and from Running to Idle
This Discovery is not going to run since the root path hasn't been updated,
but all the other information will.
So we need to edit the DeviceDiscovery.properties once more.
Open it with WordPad and look for
DEVICESROOT=
DEVICESPACKAGE=com.cisco.nm.ani.server.devices
DeviceConfigFile=devices.xml
And change it to:
DEVICESROOT=D:\\CSCOpx\\campus\\lib\\classpath
DEVICESPACKAGE=com.cisco.nm.ani.server.devices
DeviceConfigFile=devices.xml
Save the file and close it.
1. Also Goto
2. Take a backup of the file DevdiscoverySMFEnd.class file
3. Copy the one attached to the directory in its place.
Then restart the daemon manager one last time
net stop crmdmgtd
net start crmdmgtd

I will try it

I forgot to add that I am running LMS 2.5 and Campus Manager 4.0.0
Also, I have restarted the daemon manager several times, but the same thing is happening.

The problem is solved.
Not sure what resolved it exactly though...
I re-installed the december upgrade and upgraded Campus Manager to 2.0.3
It seemed to reslove itself... :)
