Device Status on Cisco DNA Center

I'm looking for a way to determine how long a particular network device has been offline in DNAC. I can see "Unreachable" under inventory, but for uptime it says hundreds of days which is obviously untrue as the device is offline.

The closest thing to viewing the status of my network is under Assurance -> Health, which provides a single dashboard "widget" which shows the number of devices that are Up or Down, and you need to click inside the widget to see which particular devices are actually down and it still does not show you any information for how long that it's been down. Does anybody have any experience with this? Is DNAC even useful for seeing the status of your network?

The data you can see in the inventory is mostly useful when managing the devices. The uptime listed in the inventory is not cleared/reset since uptime is not directly linked to whether the device is reachable or not. The data you are looking for is what you would find under Assurance, and probably the "device 360" view for the device in question.

As to the question of whether the DNAC/CCC is useful for monitoring the network: I would say that the Assurance functionality is very useful for monitoring your network. It can supply you with useful insights that are otherwise not easy to monitor and the remediation suggestions often makes the network much easier to troubleshoot. That said it is not a complete replacement for your existing monitoring solution in my optinion. It does not give you the same level of flexibility or granularity and control of the data collected.

If you go to Device 360 (of the given device). And check device Information, you have under device "Last Disconnect time" which will show you when the last time the device was reachable.
