DFM and Telephony Gateways

A Customer has DFM running monitoring their infrastructure that includes VG200's and other PSTN T1/PRI interfaces. Problem is that it is reporting false alarms for the subinterfaces on the T1's because they are not in use at the time it is checked. This is in a Call Manager environment but they have not purchased ITEM yet.

Is there a way to tell DFM that the VG200's are not really routers but some other catagory of device and then monitor them seperately?

In DFM you can specfic the particular events to be trapped . The best is to use ITEM
