Hi,
Does any one know if it is possible to disable mac learning on a specific vlan in the nexus 5000?
Thanks,
Benny

I doubt that is possible. Why would you want the nexus to flood all traffic on all ports in a vlan?
What are you trying to accomplish?
Cheers,
Michel

Benny
This feature is currently unavailable in released NX-OS versions.
There are several situations how mac learning will be disabled: when number of learned addresses reach hardware limitation, when 2 hosts with same mac address found on different interfaces.

Hi Oleksandr,
Thank you for this info, it was exactly what I was looking for.
But do you have any updated source for this info? I would like to know where you found it and if it has changed, since this post is quite old.

Hello Oscar,
That was an informatino fomr your development team.
Currently you can check CSCtu33372 which was addresed to implement a feature on nexus 55XX platform which wil disable dynamic mac learn only on vlan where loop is detected.
It's implemented in 5.2(1)N1(1)
HTH,
Alex
