I have a primary site and multiple offsite with different subnets. I have a DNS address in which I would like each site to resolve to. What is the process of making this work

Is the resolution you looking for FQDN or Local Domains, if Local domain, you required Local DNS Server.

if they are all connected, you can use the Local DNS Server or setup up one centrally to work from HQ to resolve. 

Or are you looking for something different here?

Yes its local domain

if they are Internally connected you make Local DNS entries to resolve that DNS to IP.
