Hello comunity,
i want to copy the startup-configuration via console connection to my pc.
I already read that there is a way via xmodem to copy files. But this apperently is only for transfering something into the switch.
Does anybody know if there is maybe an alternative to xmodem which allows me to download such files to my pc via console connection?
Thanks and best reguards

The way I would do this if there was NO other way...
Use Putty to open up the connection to the switch.
Before opening the connection.Within Putty, go to logging, then "log all output". In the Browse section, go to your desktop or wherever you wish to save the config.
Now open up the connection to the switch, do a show run or show start
Once you get to the end, close down connection and then find the file wherever you saved it. This will have the running config.
