hello
I am trying to use an EEM Applet to cause subnets to be dampened
I can cause the route to be dampened in a lab environment by removing & adding network statements under BGP
I am trying to use an EEM Applet to achieve this
the current status is the script will remove the network statement but appears not to introduce enough delay when adding the network statement again to allow the remote router detect the route has been removed
I tried using the wait command but this does not give me the required result
Q has this forum come across this objective before ?

How long of a wait did you specify. If you use too large of a value, you will also need to increase the applet's default 20 second maxrun time.

Joe
when I use the wait command the applet will not run
If I configure the applet to remove the network statement this will complete successfully
the problem is when I try to re-add
I will look into the applets max run time
I have added show commands to introduce time delay
when I debug the event manager cli action I see & time the commands running --it appears the applet runs its full commands

Again, the amount of wait matters. If the applet runs for more than 20 seconds by default it will be forcibly terminated.

thanks for this information -- the Applet now works as expected
