EEM: What is the time refernce for $_event_pub_sec

The built-in $_event_pub_sec is defined as "The time, in seconds, at which the event was published to the EEM." based on this reference.  My question is, what is "T(0) for this value...number of seconds since WHEN?  How would I convert a current date/time to this reference frame?

Thanks, @balaji.bandi! So based on that, the reference for $_event_pub_sec is EPOCH/POSIX time, or the time since 1 January 1970. The following table from epochtimeconverter.com is helpful in this regard:
