Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to find the EOL reports PI is suppose to be able to generate for Cisco kit it monitors ?

Sorry but it's broken and not available in 2.2. :(

"Due to a technical/architectural problem, the Compliance Service process is disabled in Prime Infrastructure 2.2. As a result of this, the PSIRT compliance reports and the EoX device reports are not available in Prime Infrastructure 2.2. These reports are expected to be available in the next version of Prime Infrastructure."

Hello Rich, hello Marvin,

"These reports are expected to be available in the next version of Prime Infrastructure." What does that mean? PI 2.3 or will that be fixed with a software patch in PI 2.2 ? Is there a known point in time for this feature to be available?

I'm a little bit disapointed... with Cisco Prime Infrastructure.

Some (for me) important features are (still) missing:

  • customizable reports (like availible in Cisco LMS4.x)
  • searching for configuration strings within the configuration archives (like availible in Cisco LMS4.x)
  • device configuration export (like availible in Cisco LMS4.x)
  • the syslog feature is reduced to a minimum (not a real syslog server feature)

I wholeheartedly agree. I'd urge you to convey your dissatisfaction to your reseller and Cisco account manager. If you're going to Cisco Live, be sure to stop by their booth and bring it up as well. Customer input is one of the main drivers of product development.

You can also get the ear of the business unit during the weekly (Thursdays at 11 am PST) Prime Infrastructure demos that are open to all interested parties - see www.tinyurl.com/primedemo

The quote re the "next version" was from the 2.2 release notes. Cisco hasn't committed publicly but I've heard it said "next version" does not mean a patch to 2.2 but rather something like 3.0 (later this year, TBD).
