example for NAPTR for 4G resolution

Hello Community,

our customer is using Prime register for 2G/3G currently on their mobile network.

very soon , 4G service will be added , but none of customer team is expert on prime register as it was installed many years ago and running smoothly.

anyone kindly can share steps what and how to add 4G NAPTR configuration to resolve 4G APNs ?

I saw this example from Cisco wensite, but if we want to make it custom as per our customer requirement,

what changes in the below example is necessary to make it as per our customer network.

cisco.com.apn IN NAPTR 1  5  "a"  "x-3gpp-pgw:x-s5-gtp"   ""  nodes1.pgw.3gppnetwork.org

does the cisco.com.apn is the APN concerned ?

what nodes1 in the last part of the above string ?

does the name of a new zone corresponds to any related configuration or the name of new zone is dummy ?

seems a very basic question, but we lack the expertise on the PNR.

thanks in advance.

Hani

Hello,

I have read through the document linked below (where I think your example probably comes from), and I honestly don't understand much of it. I think you might be better off posting your question in the forum below:
