I have a locked-out router on our production network which is not easilly acccessible on another country.
I cannot access it anymore probably becuase of all the VTY terminal has locked out. I know that exec-timeout should have been implemented but I just inherited this network from a previous engineer. I am familiar with using the clear tcp command and SNMP to clear the TCP/telnet session but seems like the telnet session was executed somewhere else. I still have to set up my SNMP station to use SNMP but I needed to access the router right now. My company is saving up so flying abroad just to reset a router is out of the question.
Would anybody know any other means on clearing up the locked out VTY terminals. I am thinking of just bringing down the links to the router to clear up any all connection including the telnet/TCP session but I am not sure that would clear up the session on the router.
Any idea would be greatly appreciated.
