Home Lab issues with Cisco ASA

So I recently got a Cisco ASA 5540 from Ebay to practice a little. I have my modem that connects to my ISP. I  connected that to my Firewall (port gi 0/3), and IP address dhcp setroute. It got the IP and I can ping 8.8.8.8. I then connected my firewall to my Cisco Catalyst and then made 3 vlans, one for my lab, one for home wifi and one for IOT items. I can ping my lab server from my catalyst, and vice versa ,but it cannot make it out to the internet. I made the route (route OUTSIDE 0 0 x.x.x.x> but nadda. Is there something I am missing here?

It is certainly likely that something is missing. But since we know no details of what you have configured it is difficult to say what is missing. My first guess would be that you have not configured (or not configured correctly) address translation for that subnet. Please provide details of what you have configured so that we might be able to give better suggestions.
