Hi,

You need to have a new License for LMS 4.1 but I think it should be cover with your LMS 4.0 contract but you can check on this..

Yes LMS dashboard is supported in LMS 4.x.. I am unable to find the download link for the same .I would request if someone knows the download link for this..please post in this thread.

Thanks

Afroj

I can confirm what Afroj posted about a license.

You need to request an upgrade license via the Product Upgrade Tool.

If you have Smartnet coverage on your LMS 4.0 installation, this is a no cost upgrade. Without a new license, the upgrade will only leave you with an evaluation license (100 device 90-day limit).

The Product Upgrade Tool will get you a Product Activation Key (PAK) via e-mail which can then be used to request a new license file. You need to have the license file downloaded onto your server. You can then apply it during (or immediately after) the upgrade process.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for pointing this out Martin.

It has left our ordering department confused as (I think) they normaly don't deal with the contracts.

Does anyone know if the licenses are the same for the windows/solaris versions and the linux VM's?

Several customers would prefer the linux VM but have ordered the 4.0 windows or solaris version for the time being.

Cheers,

Michel

The SKUs do not specify which platform the license is to be used with. I would suspect they are the same but cannot verify.

to find the downloads you have to follow this path on Ciscos "Download Software" page:

Products > Network Management and Automation > Routing and Switching Management > Network Management Solutions > Cisco Prime LAN Management Solution > CiscoWorks LAN Management Solution 4.0 > LMS Widget Software

Thanks for the reminder that the dashboard is available, Martin.

One of my colleagues was just lamenting the other day that UTU isn't availble for OS X clients. I pointed him to the Dashboard widget.

It appears to work fine with my LMS 4.1 installation.
