You can use SNMP MIBs heard its not very good though, Prime was designed purely for Cisco devices , your best off using another app

Heres the link anyway if you want to try its for 2.2 not sure if 2.1 has the same function

Can you help me, l have a problem with Cisco prime infra 2.1

I have downloaded new mib for third party device (device no cisco ex: hp ,microsoft...), I get the following error:

Error : Failed to load MIB File "..."
Error : in <unknown file>
Error : a symbol 'airFiberConfigEntry' already present in the MIB
Error : in <unknown file>: unexpected token "1" <NUMBER_STRING>, expected <IDENTIFIER_STRING>
Error : in <unknown file>: unexpected token "2" <NUMBER_STRING>, expected <IDENTIFIER_STRING>
Error : in <unknown file>: unexpected token "10" <NUMBER_STRING>, expected <IDENTIFIER_STRING>
Error : in <unknown file>: unexpected token "1" <NUMBER_STRING>, expec...

The error:  indicates that there is a problem with the format of entries in the mib

thanks.

I have a simular tought or problem... Although for the 3.0

Is there a way to add third-party devices that doesnt speak snmp... The only thing I want prime to do is to poll these by ICMP ping and worn me if and when the stop replying...

Ofcourse the PI is mainly designed for Cisco devices but doesnt want to buy another tool for the last 5% of the devices...

Ye im on 3 myself haven't found a way yet unfortunately, nagios is free and pretty good aswell for your last 5% , were in the same situation ourselves we use CA tools for some of our non cisco devices but they cost just as much as prime
