Hi,
I trust you guys are well.
I purchased a new cisco rv160 router for my home and I am experiencing difficulties to configure a vpn connection.
I dont want to use PPTP but the client to site connection ipsec profile, here is the configuration for the C2S:
Enable Yes
Tunnel Name
Home_vpn
IPSec Profile
Default
(Auto Profile (IKEv1) is chosen.)
Configure higher lifetimes if this profile is used for Windows Clients.
Interface
WAN
IKE Authentication Method
Pre-shared Key
••••••••••••••••••••
Show Pre-shared Key
Enable
Preshared Key Strength Meter
Minimum Preshared Key Complexity
Enable
Certificate
Local Identifier
Local WAN IP
81.174.xx.xxx
Remote Identifier
IP Address
10.235.15.1
Extended Authentication
Group Name
vpn_users
Pool Range for Client LAN
Start IP
10.2.3.1
End IP
10.2.3.253
I am not certain what is the remote identifier, I assume that is the device that would need to respond to the vpn request so I added the default gateway of the router (this might be wrong). I also added a screenshot of the configuration.
OpenVPN appear that I need a valid ssl certificate from a CA as I dont have one I would avoid this using this option, however if its strictly required I might be able to generate one.
When I try connect I get an error that you can see in the screenshot attached.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
