Hi,
Please advice how should I go about doing it.
I am trying to trap interface FCS error on cisco network devices on HP Openview.
Based on this link, http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/BrowseMIB.do?local=en&step=2&mibName=ETHERLIKE-MIB#contents,
- is it compulsory to upload all the mibs from 1-10?
- where can I download those non-Cisco mibs?
- does the mibs consist of traps or just definitions? if it is only a definition, how can I trigger a message when I encounter an interface FCS error?
- I have enter "set snmp trap enable all", but I am wondering what is the exact snmp trap that will capture interface FCS errors?
Thanks.

Try configuring a data collection on the following OID; .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.2.1.1.13
Google the OID to get the MIB.
You can then create an event for that collection if the threshold is exceeded.

Thanks bcbv.
I manage to trap FCS errors on NNM. Any idea on how do I grab these FCS error messages from NNM to be displayed on OVO message browser?
