LMS 4.2.2 introduced a feature to export data for Prime Infrastructure. I've attached a sample file from my lab server.

The colums are the key - you will need to fill in your usernames and passwords in columns C, G, H  and I, You should optionally add your SNMPv3 and http settings if you use those.

thanks a million Marvin!!!

You're welcome. Thanks for rating and marking the question as answered.

I notice that there is only one #ip_address designation which can be an IP address or a DNS name.

In PI2.2 the Inventory -> Network Devices has 2 columns Device name and IP Addresss. The export from 4.2.5 does not include a device name. is there any way around this thjan having to enter all the names again?

thanks

Noel

Once the imported device(s) are synchronized by PI the hostnames will be populated from the device configurations.

Marvin. That worked. thanks for your help.

Hi Marvin,

Thank you for CSV file. Can you please let me know if we have option to upload device list just using Hostname only?
