image upgrade not happening through RME 4.0.5 software management

We are trying to upgrade ios of 4507 switch through software management> software distribution using the Image Option .

However the Job Fails and we get the foll error.

Error loading image to flash.

Error Message:

SWIM1125: Failed to copy the image to Flash due to the reason - SWIM5004: Cannot initiate SNMP-set operation.

The SNMP Write Community String might be wrong.

Check whether the correct SNMP Write Community String is entered in Device and Credential Repository..

Retry the operation. If the problem persists, check the Bug Toolkit application for any known issues on the running image version.

We are using SNMP v3 and have checked the SNMP settings ,it is ok.

We have also verified that the TFTP service is working properly on the Ciscoworks server.

Can any one pls help what could be the reason for the failure

Your SNMPv3 config is incomplete. Modify your group so that it reads:

snmp-server group CiscoData v3 auth write v1default access 5

Then SWIM should work.

It could be that your SNMPv3 group is not allowing write operations for the CISCO-FLASH-MIB. There may also be an issue with the device not properly supporting the FLASH-MIB (i.e. a bug). Post your SNMPv3 configuration, and if possible collect a sniffer trace of all SNMP packets to this switch while performing the SWIM job. That capture file should help identify the underlying cause.

Please check attached file for snmp configuration and sniffer trace.

Your SNMPv3 config is incomplete. Modify your group so that it reads:

snmp-server group CiscoData v3 auth write v1default access 5

Then SWIM should work.

Thanks very much , the command resolved the issue.
