On some newer gear I've noticed these auto generated interface descriptions such as;
interface FastEthernet0/0
description $ETH-LAN$$ETH-SW-LAUNCH$$INTF-INFO-FE 0$
What are these and what are they used for? I'm assuming they're used with an NMS. Which one and how are they used? I can't seem to find any information related to this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
