if show interface serial command output shows interface resets 15 times than is there any details shows in show log command output ?

Maybe for the last reset. When did that happen?

But if the stats for this interface have never been cleared and it uptime is more then a year.....

It depends on the size of the log. The 4k default size won't help.

Best practice it to push the log to a syslog server to have some history.

Hi

Interface Flap results in interface resets you can clear up the counters and make sure that its not getting accumulating or check out for the relaibility of the link by checking the loop.

Also as Michel pointed out do keep a log sent out to your external syslog server to keep a track on interface flaps...
