IP subnetting

i have the following subnet 1.1.1.0/26, i will expand this subnet to 1.1.1.0/24. i will change the subnet mask for the ethernet interface from 255.255.255.192 to 255.255.255.0. and i will change the subnet mask for all the devices connected to this subnet,right? is there is a way to do it without changing the subnet mask for all the devices? or it must??

Yes. If you change the subnet mask on your interface you MUST change it on all corresponding devices that use that subnet.
