Here's a little more information... What I'm trying to do is create a Connection under Management Connecton > Administration. I'm able to create connections to other places like the other RME and Campus servers. I see in the help section where a connection can be created for the local filesystem. Has anyone done this? I am getting the following error message when I try to import a file..any file. What types of files can be imported? Or what connection types can be imported. Again, I would like to be able to create a connection to a local file with a .xml or .html extension.

System Error: The selected connection file is invalid. Click OK to return to the previous screen and select a different file name.

Probable Cause: The connection file you selected is missing required data fields or has an invalid format. Recommended Action: Click OK to return to the previous screen and select a different file.

Here's what I was able to do to launch an html or xml file from CiscoWorks. I created a directory under /opt/CSCOpx/htdocs called reports. I put the xml files in that directory along with the stylesheets which are written in xsl and was then able to launch the xml files from the browser by going to:

https://:1742/reports/report1.xml

I can now create and post reports in this directory in xml format and have the users access them from the browser.

The only thing missing from this are various stylesheet templates that can take the xml file and format however you want. I have one now that lays the xml file in a column format with the following headings:

Hostname, Chassis Model, Chassis Serial #, Number of Slots, Card Type, Card Slot,

Card Model, Card Serial Number, Number of Ports, Card HW Version, Card SW Version,

Duaghter Cards.
