When I run a Netconfig job, the output is written to /var/adm/CSCOpx/files/jobs/config/jobid#. The only file of interest to me is the .txt file that gets put written to this same directory. There are a ton of other files in that directory if a ton of devices are selected. I'd rather not email these files....

The notes below I took on how to run netconfig jobs from the command line. What I would like to be able to do is email the output.txt file to my email address. Any ideas on how I could do this? •Create a file that has all the devices the file is to be executed on. Example, /opt/CSCOpx/bin/devices. •Create a file with the commands to be executed. Example, /opt/CSCOpx/bin/commands. •chmod 666 /opt/CSCOpx/bin/devices. •chmod 666 /opt/CSCOpx/bin/commands. •from /opt/CSCOpx/bin run the command - ./cwconfig netconfig -u adminId -p adminPwd -createjob -mode enable -failure CONTINUE -devicefile /opt/CSCOpx/bin/devices -commandfile /opt/CSCOpx/bin/command

Thanks for the input. What I find interesting is this started happening about 1 year ago. The 2 years prior to that, I seldom ever had to bounce the app. Is there perhaps DB inconsistencies that could be corrected short of a rebuild?

I have 3- RME servers @ IDU 13 on Solaris all the way patched. The servers are at or above capacity but work fine other than this issue: On a VERY regular basis 3-4 times/week when trying to do anything where I have to click on the All Devices symbol, I get the message No Devices to Display. All I can do when this happens is do a dmgtd stop and start. Is there anything I can do short of rebuilding that could help me out so I don't see this ugly symptom so very many times each week? Let me mnake sure I have this right - If I have RME running on a single server w/ no other apps, there is 1) an ANI DB and 2)an RME DB. reinitdb.pl will reinitialize ANI where dbRestoreOrig.pl will reinitialize RME? Is this correct?

It looks like I need to reinitdb.pl on 1 of my 3 RME servers. I have a recent export of all the devices that can be reimported to get the device attributes back. When I run the reinitdb.pl command, what else will be lost? what files can I make copies of before running the reinitdbb.pl command to be able to get the created users back and such?

Clicking on 'All Devices' in 3.5 displays 'No Entries Found' even though there are. I know this was a reported bug. Has a fix been written? The 3-3.5 servers we have in place seem to be doing this more and more requiring restarts more and more.
