if a stack member is intentionally removed from the stack using commands like no switch <member-number> provision, the configuration on that member typically remains intact. The member retains its configuration and operates as a standalone switch once removed from the stack.
Keep in mind that when a member is removed from the stack, any stack-specific configurations (e.g., stack MAC address, priority, etc.) applied to that member will be removed, but the rest of the configuration remains unchanged.
